- Local Customs clearance
We offer same-day, "wheels up" clearances at JFK Airport and Bradley Airport in Hartford CT, as well as ocean clearances in the port of New York/Newark, with a reliable network of local truckers to effect delivery of cargo.
- National Customs clearance
Having one centralized point of contact for your national clearances is a distinct advantage of remote location filing (RLF). You can avoid the necessity of having to deal with different brokers and time zones. We hold a National Custom Permit, which allows us to perform remote location filing in any airport or seaport in the U.S. We are partnered as well a network of truckers in each port.
- Weekend service
Our office is staffed on the weekend and most holidays for both local and national clearances.
- Customs compliance
Our licensed brokers work with you from the beginning to ensure that all aspects of Customs compliance for your product are met before any entry submission is made to Customs.

"Wheels Up" clearance Program
U.S. Customs allows Customs clearance while the freight is in the air destined for a port in the United States. "Wheels Up" Customs clearance saves our customers up to 24 hours per shipment. It eliminates transfers of freight and documents. With a "Wheels Up" clearance program the freight is cleared prior to landing on U.S. soil.
J.M.Rodgers will have a truck waiting to pick up the freight at the airline. Most freight forwarders must transfer the freight back to their warehouse to breakdown their consolidation of freight. Forwarders must also wait for the airline to break down the paperwork to transfer the documents. Once the documents are in the possession of the forwarder they in turn must cut more documentation for their customers. This whole process creates more time delays. The trucks awaiting freight at the airline will be scheduled to deliver the freight to the final delivery location. This time savings of 24 hours is instrumental in same day production facilities.
