At J.M. Rodgers, we aim to weave sustainability into everyday decisions across our business. From how we manage operations to the partners and causes we invest in, we focus on practical actions that reduce our footprint and create long-term value. With a foundation in global logistics, we know efficiency matters, and that steady, measurable improvements add up over time. In 2025, we concentrated on cutting waste, reducing emissions, and strengthening our environmental giving. Below is a snapshot of what we did and the impact those efforts supported.

Reforestation Support: 2,500 Trees Donated

In 2025, we invested directly in reforestation by donating 2,500 trees through the Arbor Day Foundation. Expanding tree cover helps strengthen ecosystems, supports wildlife habitat, and contributes to long-term carbon reduction. This donation is one concrete way we helped support a healthier environment beyond our own walls.

Supporting Environmental Nonprofits

Alongside internal improvements, we continued our commitment to environmental philanthropy by supporting nonprofits that protect forests, conserve wildlife, and promote sustainability. This year, J.M. Rodgers donated $1,000 to each of the following organizations:

  • The Wildlands Conservancy: Protects and restores wild lands, waterways, and wildlife habitat through conservation, land stewardship, and public education.
  • Rainforest Alliance: Works with communities and businesses to conserve forests, improve livelihoods, and promote responsible land-use practices through certification and sustainable supply chain initiatives.
  • Save the Redwoods League: Protects and restores redwood forests and surrounding ecosystems, helping preserve biodiversity and expand climate-resilient protected lands for future generations.
  • World Wildlife Fund (WWF): Focuses on protecting wildlife and critical habitats worldwide, addressing climate change, conservation, and sustainable resource use through science-based action and partnerships.

These donations reflect our belief that long-term progress happens faster when organizations doing on-the-ground work have steady support behind them.

A More Sustainable Workplace: Less Waste, Lower Impact

Sustainability also shows up in the day-to-day choices that shape our footprint. In 2025, we focused on reducing routine waste, improving how we collaborate, and continuing the transition toward cleaner, more efficient operations.

Maintaining a 50% Reduction in Ink Usage
By continuing to shift documentation and workflows into digital formats, we sustained a 50% reduction in ink usage. This helps reduce supply consumption while keeping processes faster and more efficient.

Continuing the Move Away from Paper-Based Processes
We further reduced paper reliance by minimizing print-heavy workflows and expanding digital alternatives. Less paper use means less office waste and fewer resources needed across routine processes.

Reducing Air and Auto Travel Through Virtual Meetings
In 2025, we further reduced air and car travel by using virtual meetings more often. This change helps cut emissions associated with travel while still supporting strong communication and collaboration.

Saving Over 9,500 Single-Use Plastic Water Bottles
We also avoided more than 9,500 single-use plastic water bottles this year, a meaningful reduction in everyday plastic waste.

Looking Ahead

We are proud of the progress made in 2025, and we see it as part of an ongoing commitment to improvement. Going forward, we will keep looking for practical ways to reduce waste, limit emissions, and support organizations working on environmental protection and sustainability.

Every tree donated, every bottle avoided, and every process improved adds up. We appreciate the employees, partners, and customers who help make this work possible, and we look forward to continuing the momentum.
